May 9, 2024 Layout Bus Tour 5 added. Check out the Layout Tours page for the details.  Layout Tours are available for purchase.  Use any of the buttons that say Purchase found on several pages.

Clarification added to the Cancellation Policy (registration page) regarding the cutoff date for cancelling Tours.

Phone number added for the Westin Hotel (Hotel page).
Use this phone number for questions relevant to the SurfLiner 2024 Convention.  Do not use the hotel's 800 number for such purposes.

May 1, 2024 Bus Tours 1, 2, 3 and 4 are now available to purchase as part of your registration.  Check out the Layout Tours page for the details
Mar 13, 2024 The ability to purchase merchandise, tours and Modeling with the Masters clinics are now available. There are buttons at the bottom of the their corresponding pages for "How To Purchase Instructions" and "Purchasing". You can also use the "Online registration" button on registration page for purchasing or use the links below:
Mar 10 2024 Convention merchandise is available for purchase.  The merchandise page shows what is availble and links with "How to Purchase" instructions and for purchasing one or more items.
Mar 8, 2024 Clinics and clinicisans are available for viewing.  Clinics are organized by category. The clinic title for a clinician when clicked on will take you to the clinics page.  The clinic will be in the first row of clinics that are shown. Use the "Show More" button to see the entire clinic description.  The "Bio" button for clinician will produce a pop window with information about the clinician.

Airplane Restaurant

More than 100 clinics consisting of on-site presentations by local model railroaders, nationally recognized “Master Model Railroaders”, and virtual presentations by clinicians around the world will be available. Clinics will cover the history of railroading in Southern California (the SP, UP, ATSF and others) and the Southern California citrus industry. There will also be clinics on basic and advanced model railroading, backdrop painting and methods, along with electronics and animation, battery powered model railroading (Dead Rail), layout planning, layout design, scenery techniques and much more.

Modeling With The Masters®

Model With The Masters

Modeling With The Masters® is a unique opportunity to participate in an immersive, multi-day, hands-on clinic track where participants learn and use both basic and advanced modeling techniques taught by Master Model Railroaders®. These skills include scratch-building in styrene and wood, kit building, kit-bashing, scenery construction, and more. There are eight (8) Modeling With The Masters® clinics available as part of the SurfLiner 2024 Convention, one of which is a 2-part, 2-day construction of a creek diorama.
